Implementation of the Freedom of Information Law

The Higher Education Council operates under the Freedom of Information Law – 1998

The freedom of information law anchors the right to receive information from a public authority in accordance with the orders and directives of the freedom of information regulations. According to the law and the Freedom of information regulations (bonds), 1999, a request to receive information will be processed after payment of a NIS 20 bond and the commitment of the applicant to undertake to pay for the treatment of the request and the production of the requested information.

The payment of the bond can be carried out as follows:

  1. i) delivery of a cheque made out to the Higher Education Council
  2. ii) bank transfer to the account of the Higher Education Council, Acct. No: 12-782-182607, HaPoalim Bank, Rehavia Branch.

The request, together with an original receipt signed for a bond payment of NIS 20, or a cheque, should be sent to: the person in charge of the Freedom of Information Law, the Council for Higher Education, 43 Jabotinsky Street, Jerusalem.

After receiving the payment, the request is checked, in accordance with the instructions of the Freedom of Information Law
