Innovation in instruction and improving the quality of instruction

In the digital era, when information is easily accessible, we need to reconsider teaching in general and specifically academic instruction, so that we create a challenging learning experience for students. To this end, we will be investing NIS 120 million in the coming years, which will include grants for the production of very high-level online courses. The online courses will make all of the knowledge in the system of higher education accessible to students in Israel and worldwide as well as to many populations that are not able to visit the institutions themselves. Production of the online courses will be very high quality and, beyond accessibility, will focus on pedagogy and nurturing the quality of instruction. Additionally, tens of millions will be invested in establishing innovation laboratories for student initiatives that will improve the learning experience on campus and allow students to develop ideas, with the assistance of the institutions of higher education and other organizations. The plan to improve the quality of instruction, which began in the previous program, will continue in the coming years, and will be allocated NIS 80 million.
